New Alfa Romeo Brera Review
The Alfa Romeo Brera has gone from a concept car in 2002, to release in 2006 and what a looker this car is. Alfa Romeo has always given that little bit extra when it comes to the design of their cars and with the Brera they certainly won't disappoint any of their admirers.
The Brera is Alfa Romeo's flagship model and one look at it will tell you why. There's no doubt the Brera is going to turn heads and start tongues wagging, the styling is jaw dropping, from the trademark Alfa grille, down the sweeping lines to the chunky rear end the Alfa Romeo Brera oozes class.
The Alfa Romeo Brera is available with three engine choices, a 2.4 litre diesel unit or a choice of two petrol units, the 2.2-litre four-cylinder produces 185bhp and the 3.2-litre V6 pumps out a whopping 260 bhp. All engines use a six speed manual transmission to deliver the power and top speeds 142, 138 and 149 mph are achieved respectively for each variant
There are two trim levels on the Alfa Romeo Brera the standard model and the SV. Beginning with the standard models these have 17" five hole design alloy wheels (16" 7 hole design alloy wheels on the Brera 2.2 JTS) , front fog lights, radio/cd player, rear parking sensor, dual zone automatic climate control, steering wheel controls, electric front windows, remota control central door locking, cruise control, Alfatex cloth, leather trimmed steering wheel & gear lever, a 60/40Split folding rear seat, driver & passenger, front side & window airbags, anti lock braking (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD), vehicle dynamic control, drivers knee airbag, passenger airbag deactivation and an alarm & immobiliser all as standard.
The SV level of trim also has 17" five hole design alloy wheels for the Brera 2.2 JTS SV and across all models has leather upholstery and electric mirrors with memory in addition or replacement to equipment on the standard models.
