New Range Rover Sport Review
Built on a slightly smaller platform than the Range Rover (in fact the same as the Discovery 3 although highly adapted), the new Range Rover Sport is Land Rover's latest SUV to hit the marketplace. Designed as a sportier version of it's larger sibling, the Range Rover Sport is a more than capable off roader that is just as at home on a long motorway drive or on the school run.
Built as a response to the popularity of the BMW X5 and the Porsche Cayennes, the Range Rover Sport is more than a match to both these competitors, both on and off road, in fact off road it has the same outstanding characteristics as the rest of the Land Rover Range.
Engines on offer for the Range Rover Sport are a 2.7-litre V6 turbo diesel with 188bhp, a 295bhp 4.4-litre V8 petrol and a 385bhp supercharged 4.2-litre V8. Add to these power plants three trim levels S, SE and HSE and you should be able to a Sport to suit your exact requirements.
Like the looks of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, why not check out the BMW X5, the Volvo XC90 or the Toyota Land Cruiser.
