New Seat Altea Review
The Seat Altea is a mini sized MPV with one major difference, it looks fantastic, compare it to any other small MPV and the Seat Altea is by far the best looking. In years past the MPV had certain boxes to tick, safety, security and practicality were always at the top of the list with styling featuring much further down, however these features are now taken for granted, so it's nice to see styling is much more of a priority on the new Altea.
Looking like a slightly chunkier version of the Leon, the Altea doesn't drive like you would expect an MPV to drive, in fact Seat refer to the Altea as an MSV (Multi Sports Vehicle) and this is reflected in the ride, the suspension has a firmer feel, giving a sportier driving experience and although you may notice this a little more going over speed humps the overall ride is pleasant enough and the handling is far better with less roll than many of its rivals.
The Altea has a choice of four engines, the petrol derivatives are either a 1.6 litre or a 2.0 litre, with the latter being turbo charged or if you prefer diesel power you can choose between a 1.9 litre Tdi or 2.0 litre Tdi. Mate this with four different trim levels and there is bound to be an Altea to suit your driving needs.
