Launched in 1948, the Volkswagen beetle is an iconic design classic and the friendly, smiling face of the all-new Volkswagen Beetle keeps the spirit and lines of its predecessor but with a far more up to date feel.
With a choice of five engines and various trim levels its great to have the Volkswagen Beetle back and with a Euro ncap safety rating of an impressive four stars it doesn't just look good it's safe to drive as well.
Volkswagen Beetle Luna models come with either a 1.4 or 1.6 litre petrol engine, 16" Houston alloy wheels, electronic stabilisation programme (ESP), anti lock braking system (ABS), Alarm with interior protection and remote central locking, driver's and front passenger's airbag with passenger deactivation switch, electric front windows and radio CD player with RDS all fitted as standard.
The Volkswagen Beetle 1.9 Tdi, benefits from the technology of the 105 ps Volkswagen diesel engine, the combined fuel consumption that is returned is an impressive 51.4 miles per gallon and it is fitted with manual air conditioning and carpet mats over and above the Volkswagen Beetle Luna.
The 2.0 petrol develops 115ps and is available with a choice of either automatic or manual transmission and like its diesel sister has manual air conditioning and carpet mats over and above the standard specification.
Finally the Volkswagen Beetle 1.8T developing 150 ps from the 1.8 turbo petrol engine, this sits on 16" Las Vegas alloy's, has front fog's, speed activated roof spoiler and a leather rimmed three spoke steering wheel on top of the standard spec.
