Chances are you would not buy a car called Trevor no matter how good it was or how fast it went, so it's a good job Trevor Wilkinson decided to only use three letters from his first name, TVR, when he set up his business back in 1947, his first car came within two years although it would be ten years before serious production began with the introduction of the Grantura Mk I. The company has survived going bust, a fire that destroyed the factory and many changes in ownership since those early days, but their ability to produce incredibly fast super cars has remained throughout, although build quality and reliability have some times been in question. The takeover by Russian millionaire Nikolai Smolenski was short-lived and the company changed hands again in early 2007 and is now owned by Adam Burdette and Jean-Michel Santacreu, two Florida businessmen. Whatever the future holds for TVR the spirit in these hand built super cars can never be taken away.
Finance your new TVR using a PCP (Personal Contract Purchase). Payment is made on a monthly basis directly from your bank account for an agreed period of time – normally between two and four years. Your initial deposit can be anything from 0 to 40%, and your regular payments will be much lower than hire purchase.
